"The
sweet summer breeze caresses my face, and small waves on the pond
gently kiss the lily pad."
Techniques: The water background was created by machine piecing strips of silk fabrics. The printed cotton flower and lily pad raw-edged applique was fused to the pieced water background. Quilting was done using the machine free-motion technique.
Materials:Silks
and cotton fabrics were used. Threads used were nylon invisible
thread, cotton and rayon threads (Sulky, Isacord, and Maderia). Batting
used was Thermore polyester batting.
